Caffeine can cause:

  • sleep trouble, falling asleep and/or staying asleep
  • shakiness and jittery
  • anxiety
  • dehydration – it increases urination
  • fight or flight mode as it taxes the adrenals
  • headaches
  • dizziness
  • rapid heart rate
  • increase brain activity while simultaneously reducing blood flow to the brain
  • and excess, caffein can lead to seizure-like symptoms.

Scary! Do you survive on lots and lots of caffeine? Coffee or caffeinated pop or energy drinks ALL DAY LONG?

Support your adrenals, digestion, heart and brain by cutting back on caffeine. Try Dandelion tea, herbal tea or green tea as a substitute.

What should you drink instead?

Alot of our patients would like to count coffee as part of their water intake. Nope. Doesn’t work that way! Increase your water, herbal tea, and green tea for the win. And your body will be happier if you at least get one-two glasses of water in BEFORE you start your coffee to help you get proper hydration.

Rrely on sea salt, herbal teas, decaf coffee, and good fats to improve your blood sugar, decrease cravings, and relax the nervous system. Other ways to help manage stress include exercise, praying, journaling, a weekend getaway, chiropractic care, and box breathing.

Join us in being hardcore for the 21-Day Caffeine Fast.

  1. Green tea, herbal tea, and water. Just add a little stevia if you need it sweeter!
  2. Stay away from black tea and pop as it also has high caffeine.
  3. Decaf coffee also has caffeine, although a smaller amount.
